Welcome to our 27th Challenge here at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. Please don't forget to check our rules. Thanks!
Also, remember that we now have all our Winners and DT favorites posted in a separate post and on the Winners tab at the top of the blog.
Before we get started, we want to bid Cheryl a fond farewell. She's leaving the Team and we wish her luck in all her new endeavors. We also want to introduce you to our two latest DT Members. We're so excited to have them join us!
Hello! I’m Patti, and I’m so happy to be here!
I was introduced to paper crafts 18 years ago. My first teacher is now my best friend! I dabbled for a while, then became hopelessly addicted after retirement. I enjoy submitting items for publication, and have been lucky to have many of my creations published. I’m known in the creative circles as Patti J., and my blog is Cherish Each Precious Day.
My husband is an amazing guy who indulges my creative time and just spoils me rotten! We live in rural Missouri and have been married for 46 years. When we travel, he always makes time for me to meet my paper crafting friends in other cities – he’s a keeper! The ‘boss’ of our home is a little (okay, a little chubby) pound puppy named Sophie.
Our two grown children live with their families on the east and west coasts. We are blessed with 4 grandchildren ranging in age from 1-5. It’s SO much fun being grandparents! We also have 4 beautiful grand-doggies that can’t wait to see grandma and pawpaw.
At my age, every day is a gift and I try to “Cherish Each Precious Day.” My creative style changes daily so be prepared for whatever comes along! I’m excited to be designing for 2 Crafty Critter Crazies and look forward to making some new crafty friends!
I live in the Netherlands. My greatest hobby is making cards. I started with 3-D cards and later I found the stitching cards. Also, I love it to colour the digis. Now I like to make cards with digis, scraps, and die cuts. I also like to play with the digis with stitching. My other hobbies are walking, taking nature photos, and reading books.
I have my own blog and I love that very much. I am DT in other challenge blogs as well. You can find my blog here:
One additional thing, we are partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge between June 3 and June 16. https://doubletroubl echallenge.blogspot. com/2019/06/challeng e-30-stencil-techniq ue-with-2.html If you've done a project for our challenge, you might be able to enter it over in their challenge also! They have an additional theme of Stencil or Embossing Folder with an option of "Critter" and making the critter a "Farm Animal." You'll want to check it out so be sure to visit them between the 3rd and the 16th, then come back and enter that project here, too, if you've featured a critter on it. :-D
"Stencil/Embossing Techniques"
THING 1: Trouble Maker
says, "My mind has gone blank... don't let your background go there!"When creating your background, use a stencil technique in your project using spritz, paint, sponge, etc. OR, if you don't have a stencil, use an embossing folder. You can make a stencil using a die or cutting machine. In other words, no design paper for your background.
Have you "herd"? These techniques can create a great scene for Thing 3's Optional Twist.
THING 3: Twisted Sister
Have you "herd" the news? Twisted Sister lives on a farm, Eee-I-Eee-I-Oh. And on this farm she has some cows, Eee-I-Eee-I-Oh.Sing along with Old McDonald (song) and include a farm critter on your project. Even if your farm critter is not in the song, we can always add another verse!
This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble's random prize draw if you include a "farm critter".
THING 2: Double Dare
If you have included a farm critter you can enter your project into 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #26.The Critter Crazies say, "All you need is a critter. BTW we define critter as anything with 4 legs, or fins, or wings, whether animal, bird, fish, even insects, and it can be mythical, fictional, imaginary, etc., as long as it's not human."
